Porcelain body formed by dry pressing. Fired at 1200-1250°C. Density minimum 2.0 g/cm³. Water absorption ≤0.5%. Modulus of rupture ≥35 MPa. Breaking strength ≥700 N. Scratch resistance PEI 3-4. Sheet construction: 1.5x1.5-inch tiles mesh-mounted on 12x12-inch backing. Matte surface texture, unglazed through-body. Thermal expansion coefficient 6.5-7.5×10⁻⁶/°C. Chemical resistance to household acids and alkalis.
Application & Performance
Suitable for interior floor and wall installations. PEI 3-4 rating supports moderate foot traffic in residential and light commercial settings. Water absorption under 0.5% enables wet area use including showers. Frost resistance permits exterior covered applications in freeze-thaw climates. Sheet mounting simplifies handling and alignment. Porcelain composition resists staining and wear. Limitations: Avoid direct exterior exposure without protection. Requires proper thinset mortar and grout for adhesion.
