Construction: Engineered hardwood with solid oak veneer over plywood core. 9-1/2" width provides reduced number of seams per installation area. Naturally aged finish applied to top surface. Plywood core construction provides dimensional stability across seasonal moisture fluctuations compared to solid hardwood. Veneer thickness allows for sanding and refinishing within manufacturer specifications.
Application & Performance
Suitable for residential and light commercial floor applications. Engineered construction reduces cupping and warping in variable humidity environments compared to solid hardwood. Naturally aged finish masks surface wear patterns common in high-traffic areas. Plywood core provides better performance over radiant heating systems than solid hardwood. Not recommended for wet environments or direct moisture exposure. Appropriate for above-grade and on-grade installations where solid hardwood may fail.
