Marmoleum construction uses oxidized linseed oil, rosins, and wood flour binders on a jute backing. Top layer contains natural bactericides from tall oil fatty acids. Nominal thickness 2.5mm. Sheet width 6ft 7in (2.01m). Factory-finished with UV-cured coating for scuff resistance. Breathable surface allows moisture vapor transmission.
Suitable for interior floor applications in residential and light commercial settings. Jute backing requires glue-down installation over level subfloors. Antimicrobial properties reduce bacterial growth. Stable in temperature-controlled environments; avoids direct sunlight exposure. Resists indentations from rubber wheels. Limited slip resistance per DIN 51130 R9.
