Construction: Engineered hardwood with solid white oak face veneer applied to plywood core. Chevron pattern installation requires precision angle-cutting at 45 degrees for parquet assembly. White oak species provides Janka hardness rating of 1360, suitable for residential and light commercial traffic patterns.
Core: Multi-ply plywood base provides dimensional stability and reduces cupping/warping compared to solid hardwood. Engineered construction accommodates seasonal humidity fluctuations better than solid planks.
Finish: Available in four distinct colorways (Lucca, Norcia, Teramo, Vieste). Made-to-order production allows custom finishing specifications. Surface protection applied post-manufacturing.
Application & Performance
Chevron pattern flooring creates strong directional visual flow and is commonly specified for formal living areas, dining rooms, and entryways. Engineered construction allows installation over radiant heating systems and concrete subfloors with proper moisture barriers—solid hardwood cannot be used in these applications.
White oak's tight grain structure resists denting better than softer species. Plywood core reduces material movement, minimizing gaps and cupping in variable humidity environments. Made-to-order production means lead times; plan accordingly for project scheduling.
Not recommended for high-moisture areas (bathrooms, laundry rooms) without vapor barrier installation. Chevron installation requires skilled labor; DIY installation not practical due to angle-cutting complexity and grout line precision requirements.
