Cut natural granite stone formed into hexagon tesserae. Sheet dimension: 12x12 inches. Individual hexagon size approximately 2 inches across flats. Mounted on mesh backing for installation. Finish code SH denotes satin-honed surface texture. Material composition: 100% granite quarried and cut to shape. Density typical of granite at 165-175 lbs/ft³. Water absorption under 0.4% per ASTM C880.
Application & Performance
Hexagon mosaic sheets install with thinset mortar over cement backer board or plaster. Suitable for interior floor and wall use in residential and light commercial settings. Granite construction resists scratches and maintains polish under foot traffic. Low water absorption supports wet area applications including shower walls. Mesh backing enables precise cutting and grouting. Limitations: Avoid exterior freeze-thaw exposure without sealing. Requires sealed grout joints for hygiene.
