DALTILE STONE THEORY MATTE 12X24
Large-format porcelain tile with matte finish and rectified edges
Selected Color: NOTION MATTE
Technical Specifications
Material: Porcelain (vitreous, non-porous)
Construction: Rectified edge allows for minimal grout joints (1/16 inch or less). Uniform thickness throughout tile body. Matte surface finish reduces light reflection and slip potential.
Firing: High-temperature kiln-fired porcelain provides dense, durable surface resistant to staining and moisture absorption.
Edge Treatment: Rectified edges permit tight installations with minimal grout visibility, typical for contemporary applications.
Application & Performance
Floor Installation: 12x24 format distributes weight evenly. Porcelain composition withstands heavy foot traffic and rolling loads. Suitable for residential and light commercial environments.
Wall Installation: Rectified edges minimize grout lines. Matte finish reduces glare in bright spaces. Lightweight porcelain reduces substrate stress compared to natural stone.
Moisture Performance: Non-porous porcelain prevents water absorption. Matte finish provides slip resistance in wet areas. Suitable for kitchen backsplashes and bathroom walls with standard grout.
Shower Use: Porcelain resists moisture penetration. Matte surface reduces slipperiness when wet. Requires proper substrate waterproofing and grout selection.
Limitations: Rectified edges require precision installation. Grout color selection directly impacts visual appearance due to narrow joints. Matte finish may show fingerprints and dust more readily than glazed finishes.
